HORSE TRAILS: Three Sisters Horse Trails is situated 15km outside of Port Alfred. The trails offer adventurous horse riding down steep dunes onto secluded beaches, and through shady dune forests with stunning views out to sea. They follow tracks along the river, across wetlands, and through open farmland. You can check out the beautiful Boran cattle with their calves, or spot indigenous game such as Bushbuck or Oribi. Beach rides tend to be at low tide to accommodate the horses on the harder sand, but the forest rides can be done anytime.

 

Each group is chosen according to level of experience of the riders wherever possible

Novice riders: Previous riding experience is not necessary. We take small groups of up to 7 riders and have calm horses and ponies which are perfectly suitable for beginners and nervous riders. Our guides help you gain confidence. 

Experienced riders: Those with riding ability will be offered an opportunity to canter in the surf at low tide. 

Groups of mixed ability - Experienced riders are also welcome to accompany less experienced friends and family on a one hour outride on the beach and along the river.
